CAMPAINGN OF INVESTIGATIONS (PORT OF PALERMO)

Client: Western Sicilian Sea Port System Authority

• N. 5 vibro core drilling on melted sediment in the area of the stopover dock of the Port of Palermo. The extracted samples have length from 4.20 m to 1 m;
• N. 5 samples taken from the CLS dock to dismantle. The collection was made with the use of OTS personnel. The 5 samples were obtained from the average of 3 assays carried out at an quote of -1.5 m -4.5 m and -7.5 m from the ground plane on the survey vertical;
• Identification of the sampling points by DGPS system with RTK correction and buoys;
• Sampling performed by qualified laboratory personnel.
